6 weeks 2 days remaining

Another week gone.  Just six weeks and a few days left.  The nice spring weather is likely most responsible for a slowdown in SCPC action.  I know that’s what is keeping me away.  With the end of Season II looming we’re bound to see some more action coming up.

Eleven new games this week.

NMEFL:  Ohio State doubled up Purdue 28 – 14, Minnesota bounced back from their first loss 28 – 7 over Illinois, Iowa defeated Wisconsin 22 – 13, and Northwestern took care of Nebraska 26 – 17.  Northwestern 6 – 2 and Minnesota 6 – 1 are ranked number 16 and number 20.  Like everyone else, they are chasing the 9 – 1 Michigan Wolverines, whom for the first week in a while did not earn any QWB Points this week.

DBEFL: The 2002 Buccaneers handled the 2012 Saints 34 – 14.  The Bucs are now 2 – 0.  The Saints 1 – 4.  Neither team appears to be a factor.

Team-Go-Round Challenge:  With me unable to complete a game again this week Andy was left waiting for new teams, so he pitted his own two head-to-head.  ‘Watch U Talkin Bout Willis’ put up a fight, but in the end Gary’s team got gassed 31 – 28 by El Paso.

WMLMF:  Al’s Toxic Waste thawed the Tundra 24 – 3 and the Fairies pranced past the Zombies 38 – 31.  San Francisco is now above .500 again, but still chasing the Squatch, Sharks, and Rams.

Big – 8 :  Action this week was in Oklahoma where the Sooners shutout Illinois and the Cowboys shutout Kansas State.  With Missouri sitting idle OSU jumps the Tigers in the rankings.  Their 8 – 1 mark puts them at number four this week while Missouri remains five.  Oklahoma is now 6 – 1 and rises to number fifteen.

SEFL:  Lastly, the ‘88 Irish were better than the Bombers 10 – 7.  I’m not sure who the Bombers are, but the Irish needed a win to keep pace, and they got it.

That’s it.   Here’s the top ten with another small shift this week.
