MFCA Announces National Painting/Customizing Contest

The MFCA is excited to announce our first National competition!

Start preparing now for the First Annual Online National Figure Painting and Customizing Contest. This first time event is open to all MFCA members regardless of age and skill level and all are encouraged to enter. Even if all you do is add a facemask or do a repaint to a stock pose we want your entry.

The rules for this fun wide open event are simple:

You must be a MFCA member to enter.

  • All figures must resemble a realistic football player based on a real or fictional team ( No monsters, superheroes, sumos etc).
  • Any production or self molded figure or combination of figures parts can be used.
  • Any extras such as chinstraps, facemasks, towels, hand made parts can be added.
  • Figure must be a finished product i.e. painted and detailed and ready to go on the field.
  • Figure may be manipulated in any way as long as they conform to real bodily proportions.
  • 3 quality (preferably high resolution) photos of the figure from 3 angles; front, back and side on a base and on a field are required for entry. All photos are to be submitted by email to by no later than midnight CST August 24th. DO NOT POST THEM YOURSELF. Self posted photos will not be accepted. Blurry and/or distorted photos will not be accepted.
  • The figure must be a new custom! No previously displayed photos from online forums or websites will be accepted.
  • The figure must be created, painted and decaled by you! We have no way of checking this so you will be on your honor.
  • Each coach may enter 2 customs.

Voting will take place starting August 26 and will end September 6 in conjunction with the opening 2007 NFL season kickoff. To vote, you need not be a MFCA member but must be a registered member of the MFCA forum. Only one vote per forum member.

Prizes will be awarded to the winner including a MFCA medal.

Complete prize list is yet to be determined but will include an incredible boxed set of 36 of their best tweaked bases by master tweakers, Jim Davis, Geno Hendricks and Norbert Revels and a brand new Sears tweaking pliers. The complete Tweak Master Set is valued at over $300.00.
